one saturday night, me and a freind had a few too many drinks and decided it would be a great idea to go on an adventure to vancouver island as i had 3 days off and didnt want to waste them.we followed through with the idea and headed off on sunday afternoon and caught the ferry to naniamo on the island. it took about 3 hrs from whistler including the ferry trip. the ferry was aweseome and saw a beautiful sunset, no whales tho!
we went straight to tofino on the sunday night and woke up on the beach. it was a cute little bach town, which is famous for surfing. did some tourist stuff and slowly headed south toward victoria which is the capital of BC.Saw some pretty cool things along the way, even a place called Mclean mill, so naturally had to go check it out, and it was an old saw mill that they had done up and did tours of. old mate frank took us on a tour and suprisingly it was very interesting. he told us all about the logging industry etc.
then then headed to some beaches and lakes along the way untill we ended up near victoria and stayed in a rainforest which was really pretty.
victoria was pretty too, saw some old buildings and parliament house.we didnt get to spend much time in victoria as we had to get back to whistler and work.boo.
but had a really good time, great adventures and now i can tick vancouver island off the list!!
