things are crazy
hey everyone who has been checking out my blog and noticed nothing has changed in a while!!! sorry!!!!!!! but as i said, things are crazy.. work ,partying , riding etc. i will get my own computer next week and post up heaps i promise. im such a slacker! miss u all xxxxxxxx

sun peaks
hey!! well following on from my last post..we went on a road trip to a place called sun peaks, kind of like mt bulla but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay nicer, about a 5 hr drive NE of whistler. it was a pretty interesting drive!sooo beautiful ,picture perfect mountains and lakes to barron redneckville bush fires,dirt! and tumbleweed! as were were driving in it was about 10pm and there was lightning all of a sudden and heaps of it, and most of them were hitting the ground and started fires very close to us, soo crazy!we found out the next day that quite a few dh tracks had closed down because fires had burned trees down accross the tracks!crazy!so about 10 of us got some sweet hires cars , an f250, piled all our bikes in there and went to the the British Coloumbia dh cup! so it was my birthday on the friday, got up nice and early to go riding and it was soo beautiful! lots of fun tracks, apparently its better than whistler to ride and thats saying alot!!so my birthday was pretty mellow as everyone was concentrating on racing for the weekend, so not a whole lot to report there. cant complain tho as i was at one of the best ridnig parks in the world!!
then the next day was practise for the race track and it was the craziest track i had ever ridden, soo super steep, slippery, and fast corners.some of the guys reckon they were doin up 70km an hr !!!so sure enough i fell off cos i got scared when i saw the crazy section where your bike just went where it wanted, and fell on a rock in a pile of dust bout 1m deep so i couldnt see anything, i was just in a cloud of dust and whe you know about 50 other riders are comin down the track and cant see me, it was scary, a freind of mine came down behind me and hit my bike and luckily someone got me and my bike of the track!i had the biggest mouthful of dust, yuck!!but the boys kept pushing me and i did 5 more runs, almost perfect, and in my race run i fell off on the exact same spot but not by choice, i had no control, i was still talkin to myself as i was sliding along the ground!now i have the craziest bruise on my thight, so attractivehahahahha, but i got back on and rode fast as i could and i came second!!!so i got a medal and got on the poduim!hahahahahahim soo weird, can you guys believe you know me, what kind of chick does this for fun?hahaha
so after that i thought id go for one more cruisy run on another track and got stung by a bee on my neck as i was riding down the only fast section of the track,and couldnt get off my bike fast enough, god it stung!a few people went past thinkin i had crashed cos i was in the weirdest spot in a little gully rippin mt helemet of!hahha, the sting went awat the next day tho.
so on the monday we made the trck back to whistler and we did the tourists thing and took lots of photos, gosh it was pretty, i felt like i was in a movie or something, nothing seemed real!i couldnt believe how much the scenery had changed on only a few hours drive!we came to the lake that they call the beaver dam cos all the logs have floated down the lake and formed almost a bridge across a massive lake. and you can walk across the loating logs and look up the lake to see an absoloute picture perfect mountain with glaciers still on the top and blue water!far out!!
so back to whistler where partying, along with burgers, pizza, burritos, sleeplessness, and sushi and beer are still the stories of my life!!funn times of course.
apart from that, i actually got a job! i work in the official 2010 olympic store, selling all the merchandise for the winter olympics next year, i cant believe how crazy people go over olympic gear!!!its hilarious, they come in and spend thousands on t shits and mugs and stuff,and take photos in the bobsled, i guess they are all the rich people who want to pretend they were at the olympics!haha, but its a full time job, a bit of a shock to the system after not working for 6 weeks! but this gives me a free lift pass for the winter which costs 2000 dollars!!and cheap staff accommodation and cheap food everywhere! i just wear my work shirt and people go oh right on you work in the olympic store, ill give you a discount!sweet, thanks, also everyone knows everyone!its scary, but cool at the same time, everyone helps each other out cos we all know we get paid next to nothng!!im on $9.90 an hr!hahaha. the people we get in there are so fascinated about where i come from, they have no idea, and once i said "oh ya reckon" to a customer and they started laughing thinkin i was cute.hahahahaha!
so thats my story upto date, going riding today and take some riding pics soi can show you. dont worry no doubt there will be more stories, just need to keep them conservative, cos i dont know who is reading this!oops!!
