today we set sail to the island of Bequia..
it was yet again a beautiful morning and we were all excited to get the hell out of the marina of st vincent. got all pumped up for the big sail, took my sea sick pills...and then we were there! you could literally see the island from st v. so by the time we got to bequia i was drowsy!hahah loser!
so after over shooting the island cos we thought it was too close to be true, we headed toward the bay and wer greeted by a boat named african pride, they helped us set up on the mooring ball and made us welcome, offering us bread and ice etc.
we all had a swim in the crystal clear blue water, then jumped in the dingy and went to shore to check out this lil island. we needed to visit the pharmacy but it was closed and we found out it will open after church as the preist is also the pharmacist! the islanders were all very freindly and their animals.. one drunk man introdueced me to his lil goat named tom. evryone seemed to have pet goats rather than dogs..?
so after our lil back street adventure we got in a taxi, which was the back of a ute and went to a nice restaurant in the bush called mosuito. really nice food and felt like we were in the middle of a rainforest!
IN the dingy on the way back to the boat i could see something in the water, at first i thought it was a snake, then it came closer and went under the boat, i screamed then realised it was a sting ray, then i saw 2 more!it was crazy!!
