hey everyone who has been checking out my blog and noticed nothing has changed in a while!!! sorry!!!!!!! but as i said, things are crazy.. work ,partying , riding etc. i will get my own computer next week and post up heaps i promise. im such a slacker! miss u all xxxxxxxx

sun peaks
hey!! well following on from my last post..we went on a road trip to a place called sun peaks, kind of like mt bulla but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay nicer, about a 5 hr drive NE of whistler. it was a pretty interesting drive!sooo beautiful ,picture perfect mountains and lakes to barron redneckville bush fires,dirt! and tumbleweed! as were were driving in it was about 10pm and there was lightning all of a sudden and heaps of it, and most of them were hitting the ground and started fires very close to us, soo crazy!we found out the next day that quite a few dh tracks had closed down because fires had burned trees down accross the tracks!crazy!so about 10 of us got some sweet hires cars , an f250, piled all our bikes in there and went to the the British Coloumbia dh cup! so it was my birthday on the friday, got up nice and early to go riding and it was soo beautiful! lots of fun tracks, apparently its better than whistler to ride and thats saying alot!!so my birthday was pretty mellow as everyone was concentrating on racing for the weekend, so not a whole lot to report there. cant complain tho as i was at one of the best ridnig parks in the world!!
then the next day was practise for the race track and it was the craziest track i had ever ridden, soo super steep, slippery, and fast corners.some of the guys reckon they were doin up 70km an hr !!!so sure enough i fell off cos i got scared when i saw the crazy section where your bike just went where it wanted, and fell on a rock in a pile of dust bout 1m deep so i couldnt see anything, i was just in a cloud of dust and whe you know about 50 other riders are comin down the track and cant see me, it was scary, a freind of mine came down behind me and hit my bike and luckily someone got me and my bike of the track!i had the biggest mouthful of dust, yuck!!but the boys kept pushing me and i did 5 more runs, almost perfect, and in my race run i fell off on the exact same spot but not by choice, i had no control, i was still talkin to myself as i was sliding along the ground!now i have the craziest bruise on my thight, so attractivehahahahha, but i got back on and rode fast as i could and i came second!!!so i got a medal and got on the poduim!hahahahahahim soo weird, can you guys believe you know me, what kind of chick does this for fun?hahaha
so after that i thought id go for one more cruisy run on another track and got stung by a bee on my neck as i was riding down the only fast section of the track,and couldnt get off my bike fast enough, god it stung!a few people went past thinkin i had crashed cos i was in the weirdest spot in a little gully rippin mt helemet of!hahha, the sting went awat the next day tho.
so on the monday we made the trck back to whistler and we did the tourists thing and took lots of photos, gosh it was pretty, i felt like i was in a movie or something, nothing seemed real!i couldnt believe how much the scenery had changed on only a few hours drive!we came to the lake that they call the beaver dam cos all the logs have floated down the lake and formed almost a bridge across a massive lake. and you can walk across the loating logs and look up the lake to see an absoloute picture perfect mountain with glaciers still on the top and blue water!far out!!
so back to whistler where partying, along with burgers, pizza, burritos, sleeplessness, and sushi and beer are still the stories of my life!!funn times of course.
apart from that, i actually got a job! i work in the official 2010 olympic store, selling all the merchandise for the winter olympics next year, i cant believe how crazy people go over olympic gear!!!its hilarious, they come in and spend thousands on t shits and mugs and stuff,and take photos in the bobsled, i guess they are all the rich people who want to pretend they were at the olympics!haha, but its a full time job, a bit of a shock to the system after not working for 6 weeks! but this gives me a free lift pass for the winter which costs 2000 dollars!!and cheap staff accommodation and cheap food everywhere! i just wear my work shirt and people go oh right on you work in the olympic store, ill give you a discount!sweet, thanks, also everyone knows everyone!its scary, but cool at the same time, everyone helps each other out cos we all know we get paid next to nothng!!im on $9.90 an hr!hahaha. the people we get in there are so fascinated about where i come from, they have no idea, and once i said "oh ya reckon" to a customer and they started laughing thinkin i was cute.hahahahaha!
so thats my story upto date, going riding today and take some riding pics soi can show you. dont worry no doubt there will be more stories, just need to keep them conservative, cos i dont know who is reading this!oops!!

CANADA
sorry for the slack blog!but im slowly getting around to it!!here is my first 2 weeks in a nut shell, and pics to follow!!!
so canada is weird and awesome at the same time..first of all they drive on the wrong side of the road, when we got into a taxi at the airport i thought he was getting in the passenger side, that was weird, and coming onto an intersection is scary too!then you have to tip all the time plus tax!why cant everything just be included! if u want to cross the road, the cars just stop for you, even if your not at a crossing, nice but weird, then comes the toilets, they are 3/4 filled with water, gross!!thats all ill say.. the power points dont have on/off switches..where i live there are no ceiling lights, they just have dodgy lamps!also the sun is up at 4am and doesnt go down till 10 am!!
i also forgot to mention the junkies!!melbourne has got nothing on vancouver junkies thats for sure, i was having a coffee downtown vancouver and all of a sudden you see these crazy people pushin trollies full of can and bottles, and gettin in the bins!there is a junkie on every corner and that is not a joke, they vary, some in wheel chairs, mother and child, amputees, adn your average joe junkie, The best one we saw was at 11am as we were leaving on the greyhound bus to whistler wearing a t-shirt saying "i fear no beer"damn right!yelling and screaming, scabs all over his face and pants falling down.yuck!!!!
so apart from all that weirdness canada is beautiful!massive mountains that still have snow on the top in the middle of summer.The lakes are just like glass, so smooth, weird christmas trees everywhere and reindeers on the side of the road!
I was riding on my first day and a squirrel ran out in front of me, that was when i realised i was in canada, then on the chair lifts on the way up we saw a baby bear!soo cute, but luckily i havent encountered a big grizzly!just lots of little brown bears that sit on the tracks as your riding!
well the riding is awesome, thats why im here, so first day in whistler and 500 canadian dollars later i got myself a season lift pass and went riding for the day, was heaps of fun, so many options , jumps, rocks, roots, roll downs, burms and drops and that weird north shore stuff.so heaps to keep u busy! then head off to the pub at the bottom of the slopestyle course!
so far i have been riding for 2 weeks and have had a few minor injuries.. i didnt realise how slippery wooden bridges around a corner can be, so i did a massive skid and slammed my finger into the rail and a pile of people behind me, oops, it looked cool tho, hahah. Then it was wet on a practise day of cranworx and riding the black diamond tracks (hard!)down slippery roots and rocks and they got me!i slipped off and grazed my right elbow.. 3 days later i was riding down a fire road to get to another track in chunky loose gravel, and u have 3 choices, 1 is to be an awesome rider and skid around the corner before you go over a massive cliff! or just ride slow or crash and almost go over the edge... i did the last option, i thought i was goin to pull of the awesome rider skid around the corner, but then i managed to flip over the top of the bike into the chunky gravel, so now my elbows match, except the left one is far worse..now i have invested in elbow pads.. youth ones as im weak!hahaha, i kept riding dont worry, im tough!!!
crank works was awesome watching all the crazy pro riders, especially dual slalom and slopstyle and the canadian open, cos i got a pic with sam hill as u will see!heheh typical girl!
there were lots of crazy parties and fat tonys pizza at 2 am is always a good idea, just like a kebab!!haha.there were waaaaay too many people on the tracks tho so that got a bit annoying, so im glad cranworx is over so the lines are shorter and not so many dickheads on the tracks slamming thier brakes on infront of you going down a rock garden!!!
im living in staff accommodation in a lil suburb 10 mins from the whistler village with some of the melbourne guys i know from racing, so that keeps things interesting!! i was living with 2 girls but they didnt even say boo, so i was outta there!
its my birthday this friday, so were all heading up to a place called sun peaks for the BC dh cup, and then off to kamloops for some more riding! cant wait me and 8 guys (yes nothing has changed)i think another girl will be there to save me tho!

funn times in fitzroy
well it all started when this guy called jamie wanted to show us his sweet harmonica skillz..so the gang got together at brionys place for some beverages and then rolled into the old bar where the funn times began!!!...
i thought his skillz were pretty sweet..
walshy and p-rad agreed and thought he was talented
josh was very impressed with his "pow pow" scarf, it could do many things including keeping his beer warm??!
eliza and jmac showin love for p-rad..
bromance..i think the boys really enjoyed the night and continued to dance when we got back to brionys, after the shenannigans finished i decided it was time to go home..until i realised me and jamie were stuck in brionys quadrangle, i wish i had evidence of this but i was too busy climbing stacks of chairs and throwing myself onto the roof!!!
then sunday came around and p-rad was waaay too excited for breakfast
belinda and i after we discovered a new buzz word..it starts with p.........
